WASWUG Giving Back
This year we have a wonderful opportunity to help provide scholarships to Washington State High School Seniors who are heading off to post-secondary schooling. We have partnered with the Washington State PTA for this project. There are two ways to be involved:
- Cash Donations – our goal is to raise enough cash for one $2,000 Scholarship or two $1,000 Scholarships. If successful there will be a “WASWUG” Scholarship given to a deserving Senior in Washington State in 2011. Amount raised will be announced at the Tuesday Closing Session. Cash donations can be made at the Info Desk onsite at WASWUG from 9:00 am Sunday March 6th – Tuesday March 8th 10:00 am.
- Basket Donations – Pick a Theme and spread the word. Recruit fellow School staff, Data Center staff, etc. and build a basket that can be raffled off as part of the Scholarship Raffle at the Washington State PTA’s Annual Convention to be held on April 29-May 1st at the Doubletree Hotel in SeaTac . All baskets will be collected at WASWUG and delivered on your behalf to the PTA Convention. More information about the Scholarship basket raffle is available on the WSPTA website. Complete a donation form and bring it with your basket to WASWUG. Click here for sample basket ideas. All basket donations will be collected at WASWUG Info Desk 9:00 am Sunday March 6th – Tuesday March 8th 10:00 am.
